The building to the west,
immediately beyond the amphitheatre, has been interpreted as part of a
bath house which was probably connected to the gladiators’ quarters, where
they would have lived and trained.
A room with an apse, probable
source of the suspensurae found in deposits outside of the building and
thought to have been a caldarium, and a tank which may have been part of
a frigidarium have been brought to light. The building was added
after the initial construction of the boundary wall.
